MPULSIV

Impulsive: prone to act on impulse
Impulse: a sudden spontaneous inclination or incitement to some usually unpremeditated action

So this morning on my way to work, I'm driving down the freeway as usual. As I'm coming up on this 90's model BMW, I see the license plate says "MPULSIV"! As I pass this slow moving vehicle I notice the driver is at least 60 years old... Here are my observations of this phenomenon:

1. Impulsive drivers don't do 45mph!
2. You don't get to be 60 if you live impulsively!
3. Impulsive buyers usually have a much newer vehicle.

I'm sorry I don't have a picture of this event, but I was on a motorcycle.. I suppose I COULD have been more impulsive...

Google, Kansas... previously referred to as Topeka

Interesting marketing story for you... Topeka Mayor decided to change the name of the city in an effort to persuade Google to use their city as a test site for new "ultrafast" internet connection.

The City Attorney stated that they could not legally change the name of the city, so instead they issued a proclamation for the city to be referred to as Google, Kansas!

This has not yet been updated in Google maps as of this article!

Pit bull put down after attack on Chihuahua

So this pit bull attacked and killed a mini chihuahua... I didn't even know there was such a thing as a mini chihuahua, aren't they mini enough? Anyways, they put the pit bull down.

Should animal rights organizations be furious? I mean, these are animals, meant for the free ranges of the earth! The poor pit bull was just trying to get some lunch according to his primal instinct. He probably thought it was a rat or a gopher, which is great food for a hungry dog!

Seriously though, is animal on animal violence getting out of hand or what? I recently heard of snakes eating mice. Signs of the times folks, signs of the times...

Man Bulldozes Home to Avoid Foreclosure

So interesting... So this guy decided that the best way to avoid foreclosure was to destroy his home. I guess the thinking is that if it's destroyed no one will want it! Is this a good way to stick it to the man?? Reminds me of when I was in the Army and thought the best way to get revenge for the lack of rational thinking was to use extra toilet paper! By using extra TP I am quietly bankrupting the Government. That will show them!

Texas AG Fights Same-Sex Divorce

So if you can't legally marry in Texas, or any other state for that matter, then are marriages conducted in other states legal? Should people be allowed to get a divorce in a marriage that was conducted in another state?

That is the question facing Texas courts. If Texas doesn't recognize same sex marriages then how could they possibly recognize a divorce from a marriage that they don't recognize ever existed?

What do you think should happen here?

Feds Demand Toyota Info

So our government is demanding that Toyota divulge information recarding the recalls... I am thinking that this may be a conflict of interest. Since our government owns part of American automotive stocks, should they be allowed to see Toyota's information?

I mean, if Toyota is running a bad business, then people will stop buying their cars and they will go out of business. Why can't the government just let free enterprise run its course?

Is it the government's business? Really?

What do you think?

Haiti judge: 10 Americans should be released

Earlier today a Haitian judge announced his opinion that 10 Americans should be released. This comes days after he received a special singing, dancing telegram from an unknown contact in America. It is unclear whether or not this is related, however the song choice is particularly disturbing.

An unknown and unconfirmed eyewitness stated that a large slightly balding man sang "The Sign", originally performed by Ace of Bass for the Judge and danced in a threatening way. Afterwards, he handed the judge an envelope that it is believed contained at least $5 American dollars.

Some would say this was a clear threat and intended to persuade the judges decision.
